I met Rodney whenever I was in 7th grade. His sister, Deanna and I, we're best friends. I never thought of Rodney anymore than a friend. He used to always message me and I would always ignore it... (I remember this one time at church my friend Kayla and I made up this noise that was our "mating call" and I did it and here came Rodney right around the corner.) When I was a junior I went on a trip with my FCCLA class to Columbia, MO for a leadership program. While I was sitting in the audience I got a message from Rodney for the first time in years. Like I said before, I never saw anything in him before but something told me to reply. We ended up talking nonstop & i became to really like him.
April 4th, 2015 at 1:32am he asked me to be his girl friend!!
From then on we were inseparable. i already knew his family so there was no awkwardness, it was great. Rodney is the type of man who opens your car door for you and brings you flowers regularly. So eventually, he stole my heart. Of course my parents wouldn't approve of me being 17 and him being 20 and dating, so I lied to them. I told my parents that Rodney was 19 and a senior at my school. They bought it but soon found out that I was going behind their back and hanging out with Rodney almost every day after school. They were really upset and now I can see why. Me being a teenage girl spending so much time with my new boyfriend they were scared that I was going to get pregnant. . In May, we moved in together. It happened quick and my parents were seriously mad. My mother practically disowned me. She cropped me out of family pictures on Facebook and didn't talk to me for a long time. My dad called the cops and they told him that 17 is the legal age of an adult in Missouri, so there wasn't anything they could do. Months passed and they finally got over it & accepted me as their daughter again.
So here I was living with my boyfriend of 1 month and his family. There's so much more to tell but you'll have to come back tomorrow.
Signing off.
